December 16, 2019

Yes, I am in my 50s, and no I’m not ashamed to shout it from the rooftops! I’m also not afraid to help you buy for the special women in your life who may be in their 50s too. I get it – the holiday season is crazy and sometimes we put off buying gifts until the last second for the people that we just have no idea what to get. However, I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that difficult and we actually would enjoy some pretty simple things. I’ve assembled all of my gift recommendations for your mom, sister, bestie, wife, co-worker – a curated wish list of items that resonate with me and the other wonderful ladies my age. Time to start shopping!

Fashion

Women love clothes, it’s no secret, so why not give the gift of style? Freshen up her wardrobe with one of these versatile and stylish pieces.

Zara Mohair and Wool Blend Jacket – $69.90
This mohair and wool blend cardigan is the perfect mix of chic and comfy. Not to mention, the color is gorgeous.

Brixton Wesley Wool Fedora – $59
I’ve been into hats lately. They’re versatile, a fun accessory, and can change the look of any outfit. This one also comes in black.

The Coventry Bucket Bag – $360
I’m a believer in well-made, high-quality goods that will last a lifetime. They’re worth the price tag and this bag in particular will never go out of style.

Kaicien Ankle Boot – $110
‘Tis the season for a chic pair of booties. This pair is one of my favorites – simple and can go with literally any outfit. Add it to my wish list!

Beauty

Ahh beauty products. You hate to love them. I’d recommend going with a fragrance, something that adds to their natural beauty or skincare staples.

Chanel COCO MADEMOISELLE Eau de Parfum – $105
A Sephora bestseller, you really can’t go wrong with this Chanel perfume, or any Chanel perfume for that matter. Described as “an absolutely modern composition with a strong yet surprisingly fresh character” and housed in the most beautiful bottle, it seems like a good option.

Herbivore Rose Quartz Ritual Kit – $78
The self-love, self-care trend is a real thing and it should be, especially for us above 50. This is the perfect gift to encourage a little bit of self-love and lasting glowing skin.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – $20
Our lips are one of the first things to start showing our age with fine lines and crazy dryness. Give the gift of moisturized and smooth lips with this Allure Best of Beauty Award winner.

A Facial
I LOVE a good facial. I leave feeling refreshed and like my skin just had a deep clean, because it did. Bye bye make-up build up and nasty toxins, hello radiant glowing skin. I don’t have anything to tag here, just search for the best esthetician in your area and snag a gift card or certificate for a facial.

Health & Wellness

I have to be careful here. I don’t want to receive Peloton-like backlash for suggesting that the special ladies in your life may like a few health or wellness related items, but truth is, they would πŸ™‚ The health and fitness craze is real. Here’s some gifts that make sense for your lady that’s striving to live a healthy life.

Pilates Class
Pilates is all the rage right now and it’s well deserving of it. It’s easy on your body while also significantly improving your muscle endurance and tone. It’s one of the best ways to maintain your weight and is beneficial for the mind and soul. I don’t have anything to link here, but do some research on your best local pilates studio and gift the lady in your life a few classes.

Hurom HP Slow Juicer – $299
Juicing advocates say it can reduce your risk of cancer, boost your immune system, remove toxins from your body, aid digestion and help you lose weight. This juicer is not only stylish and compact, it is also one of the best ones on the market right now.

OPTP LoRox Aligned Foam Roller – $51.95
Anyone who is into fitness and health needs a good foam roller to work it out, especially as they get older. This foam roller is firm enough for a deep massage and has enough squish to be gentle on sensitive spots.

Eat Pretty Everyday – $11.99
This book is perfect for a health and wellness enthusiast. It’s jam packed with 365 daily inspirations for nourishing beauty inside and out. “Eat Pretty Every DayΒ is a wonderful way to jumpstart a year of beautiful choices, from meals to mindset to self-care.”

See, shopping for us 50 and older ladies isn’t that difficult! Stick with one of these options or grab something else that’s similar and you’ll be golden – easily considered one of the best gift givers in your family/group of friends. What are some of your go-to gifts for the mid-life aged women in your life? I’d love to hear about them in the comments below – who knows, I might even snag them for myself πŸ™‚
